The first telltale sign is that your spouse becomes emotionally distant from you and incredibly self-absorbed with themselves. Therefore, they no longer share with you what they are thinking, feeling or really anything significant about what is going on in their heart or mind. They just seem so concerned with themselves and on what is going on for them.

The second telltale sign that suggests your spouse might be cheating on you is that they become incredibly critical of you. According to VeryWellMind, they criticize everything that you say and everything that you do. They may even criticize the movie you are watching and the clothes that you are wearing. This criticism is often a sign of your partner feeling guilty for cheating on you, and they are looking for a way to rationalize their infidelity.

The third way that suggests that your spouse may be cheating on you is that there is a change in behavior in regards to the amount of time that they are away from home and often increased hours at work. So, for example, all of a sudden, they have to work an inordinately amount of hours after work hours. Or perhaps they have to take more business and meet more business trips than they had to. Probably, there is an increase in the amount of after-hours work meetings that they have to attempt. Obviously, this gives them the opportunity, which is the time to have an affair.

These are the three signs that your spouse may be cheating on you. They become emotionally distant and self-absorbed, they become incredibly critical of you, and they change their pattern of behavior, especially when it comes to their work hours.
